Hey team :D

So titles right.

I've always liked the concept of having names that are phrases or incomplete sentences. For example, "as time goes by" and "as i get older". I really like this concept and have taken to find some of my own. I think the unfinished sentence will add a layer of mystery and incompleteness to the story. I would like it to be something sunset/sky or memory/time-related. Here are some examples I'm considering, though I'm still open to suggestions.

- how fast the evening passes

- to fade with morning light

- my own personal sunset

- behind the shades

- hazes in my memories, places that i used to be

- something about the night changing

No matter what I decide for the title to be, it'll be in lowercase. It's stylistic and becoming more common (see Taylor Swift's "folklore" and "evermore" and their songs, Billie Eilish's discography, and Olivia Rodrigo'd discography) as of recent, especially within my target audience.

This is very funny but I made this voice memo (length 5:02) where I explain a pretty cool idea I had for both songs I could use and a potential title! I recorded this when I took a break from blogging and didn't have my computer to write down my ideas.

I understand I ramble a lot and 5 minutes is a lot to commit to, so I'll relay over everything I said which was two main things.

Number 1: I thought of good music I could use throughout the production. Not sure how well they fit but they're cool songs and their backstory means a lot to me <3.

Moonsetter (the happier version)

Moonsetter (a sadder version)

Moonsetter  (orchestral version, set the playback speed to 0.75)

- Moonsetter (normal but slowed down 10%)

- Moonsetter (piano sad version. This one is so much.)

- Moonsetter (MUSIC BOX VERSION. This one makes me emotional. I like this one a lot.)

- Untitled (Man. Listening to this one again for the first time in a long time is a lot to process.)

✩Extra ones I found after the voice memo because I Cannot Help Myself

- Three in the Morning (this one but as the piano ramps up its when MC is crying at the end, slow zoom out? Man, that would be so cool)

- Sweet Dreams, Timeaus (could be neat background music?)

I apologize profusely for putting so many options however consider that I got excited. My bad but what can you do I guess.

Number 2:  Potential name!

I'm so glad I talked about titles, then music, and then titles again. Whatever, it's my blog I can do what I want :).

So when I said that I wanted my title to be something about either sunsets or time, I was thinking of something along the lines of "rises the moon" or "the sun sets" or something. However, my film isn't about the moon, so as good as "rises the moon" is, I can't use it, and "sets the sun" or something like that feels unoriginal. So I scrapped both of them. I then thought that the word "horizon" reminded me of the sunset and felt like you were saying that the sun set without using the word "sun" or "set" which is so cool.

I'm not sure what I would put along with horizon to make it cool, I thought of "beyond the horizon" which sounds like motivation and is not the vibe, and "past the horizon" which sounds not bad(?) but I'm going to look at synonyms for "past" to scout out other options.

This was not helpful.

Ah yes, "down memory lane the horizon." Looking up "beyond" synonyms was fruitless too.

Now I'm trying to brainstorm other words I could use because I'm very attached to using the word horizon and then it hits me: "to see past the horizon." :O. This kinda goes hard. So does "to see beyond the horizon" which is also cool?! I might be onto something here! It also reminded me of a song with the lyric "sinking to the sky" which is also neat! It doesn't quite fit my goal but man, when you finally break through a creative block it's such a dopamine rush.

I'm going to sleep on "to see past the horizon" and see how I feel about it tomorrow. I am very pleased to have made progress on my title and music. Although those factors are much less of a concern than my storyboard and screenplay, making choices in those areas is so relieving. I feel like I can finally work on my storyboard and screenplay without holding me back (hopefully!!)

Next time I see you, I should have a storyboard or screenplay because I need to do that yesterday.
